INTRODUCTION

 

All WABroker members are expected to adhere to the highest standards of honesty and personal integrity. The same is expected of the agents and brokers that receive referrals of WABroker members. The current economic collapse was brought about in large part by deceptive and dishonest practices, which fueled both individual and corporate greed. This situation can only be reversed by each individual striving to maintain honesty and personal integrity. For any economic recovery to be meaningful and sustainable it must be based on creating actual value or it will again collapse. The only legitimate guardian of economic well being is a knowledgeable and productive citizenry that is allowed to retain the fruits of their labors.

 

These Policies and Procedures are meant to foster clear communications, transparency and accountability. These are the legs of the tripod which support sustainability and the well being of all persons involved.

 

They are simple, few and mandatory. No organization can thrive and meet its goals without clear standards and objectives. The basic standards are listed above. The basic objective is the financial well being of all working participants. That is, all who toil should receive their promised share of the wealth.

 

GENERAL POLICIES

 

At all times all parties should strive to communicate clearly and concisely .

 

Since business now takes place at the speed of light (thanks to the Internet) all communications should follow accepted standards of form and content. This means data and written communications will only be transmitted on approved forms using approved report formats. Data should always be verified before transmission since the digital workplace immediately makes multiple copies of everything that is created even if it is a mistake.

 

All parties are individually responsible for the verification and confirmation of any data that they originate. Simply stated, if you are going to say something is “X” then you are responsible for insuring that this is true.

 

Decisions will be made rapidly that have far reaching effects, as in the case of choosing a price for an offer to purchase. Without clear and concise forms and reports this will break down rapidly.

 

At all times all parties should be available to one another as necessary to complete their obligations .

 

Without cell phones, emails and faxes this business would slow to a crawl. Everyone is responsible for maintaining their accessibility to other necessary parties. Email must be checked multiple times per day for best work flow. If email is not checked and acted upon each day, then work will stop. In the current market, a lapse of even one day can be critical.

 

Does this mean that there are no days off? Of course not!. The digital tools give access and mobility. This should free up your time not clutter it. If this does not manifest in your life then there are steps you can take that are too extensive to be included here. If you are unavailable for any reason it should be made clear what the limitations are so others can act accordingly to maintain work flow. I could write a book on email processes and cell phone usage as well but it is implied here that you already have this knowledge.

 

All written procedures must be followed at all times .

 

Written procedures are meant to insure standards of communication are being followed and that work flow is smooth from start to finish. As a consequence unnecessary procedures will be discarded and discouraged from occurring in the first place. All necessary procedures will be in writing and will include checklists and forms whenever appropriate. If management takes the time to write a policy it is because it inures to the benefit of the group. Not following written procedures is a form of theft or waste which is not permitted under any circumstances. Persons acting without following the proper procedure is not acceptable at any time. The forms used by Trusted Associates in dealings with our members are few and are all mandatory. They are to be transmitted in digital format whenever possible to facilitate rapid communication and ease of storage.
